Today for review I have something a bit on the lighter side, or humorous side. Technically it is a cellphone cover, or case, but this one is rather special… It is from a company called Cellfoam, and it is a foam banana that fits over your cellphone, yes it is rather goofy, but I just couldn’t resist reviewing it for the heck of it… It’s goofy, it’s fun, it’s the banana phone! Tech Specs,Features or the Basic Info:
Well, there isn’t really any specs for the Banana Cellphone cover.. It’s foam, it’s a banana, it’s a foam banana that you cell fits into. It makes you look as if you are talking into a banana.
We’ve all picked up a banana and pretended to talk into it at least once in our lives, even though we might not admit it….
Is that a banana in your pocket or are you happy to see me?! (couldn’t resist…)
A Better Look at Things
Ok, if you order one of these cool products it comes nicely packaged in a plastic bag to keep the banana fresh…
A nice little tag is attached as well, it tells you what kind of phone will fit in your new banana, and the other side has the Cellfoam logo.
Unwrapping the banana, we find a life sized foam banana that has a bit of green on the ends, guess it isn’t quite ripe yet…
The banana has brown accent lines on it as well, to make it look a bit more realistic.
In the center of the banana is a space for your cellphone, and we also can see the Cellfoam logo and the patent pending as well.

Installation, Testing and Comparison
Ok, well installation is easy, just stick your phone in the banana and your done.
You can see in the first picture, my main phone is a Windows Mobile VOQ smart phone, bar style, but a bit larger than most, it was a very tight fit in the banana, it ripped a bit…
You could say I now have a Smart Banana!
Most standard bar style phones out there won’t have any problems with this cover. The second picture is a smaller phone that I use as a backup, I can swap the sim cards out if need be. The Siemens phone is smaller and fits nicely into the banana.
Other than the tiny tear, my phone was held very tightly by the banana. If one were to drop their banana phone, it would be nicely cushioned by all the foam. So not only is the banana phone cover a stylish addition to your wardrobe it will also protect your phone from accidents.
Summary:
Well what can I say in summary? It’s a foam banana that fits over your cellphone to turn it into a banana phone. Not much else to say is there?! Ok, it’s a cool novelty idea, one of those things that makes you wish you would have thought of… If your goofy, or if you wanna have some fun I can recommend picking one of these up, pick a few up, they’d make great gifts!
