A Better Look at Things
:
A one ounce bottle of Purosol Plasma was sent to me by Fedex Overnight directly from Origin Labs. I’m not sure if there is any retail packaging as I received the bottle of Plasma, Microfiber cloth and pamphlet is a small ziplock bag. Please note that the Microfiber cloth and the Purosol Plasma are sold separately.
The Microfiber cloth comes in its own little pouch for protection, the Plasma itself comes in a small spray bottle for easy application.
The pamphlet contains lots of information about Purosol Plasma and instructions for use. The instructions and a basic description are also on the bottle.
The Microfiber cloth feels like a chamois, and is ‘silky’ smooth.

Installation, Testing and Comparison
Here is the FAQ from the Purosol site regarding the application and use of Purosol Plasma:
What products should Purosol Plasma be used on?
Purosol Plasma is ideal for cleaning all high-end flat screen televisions, computer monitors and personal electronic screens, including plasma, LCD and CRT screens used in television, computer monitor, laptop, PDA, and portable gaming and mp3 systems without harming the screen surface. Unlike solvents and other harsh cleaning agents, Purosol cleans at the molecular level without the use of toxic solvents or detergents.
How should Purosol Plasma be applied?
Gently spray a small amount of solution onto a Purosol Microfiber Cloth or directly to the screen and gently wipe clean. For typical use, a single application will be sufficient. For extreme dirt or grime a second application may be necessary.
I personally clean up my workstation/desk area every week, dust just collects everywhere. Now that it’s getting colder, the furnace is on and that kicks more dust around. I’m also a smoker so I get a little more ‘dust’ than others out there. I find that I clean my two LCD monitors at least twice per week to keep them clear and clean.
The first thing you will notice is the Purosol Plasma is clear like water, the second thing you will notice is that it has virtually no odor at all, to be honest it smells like water.
Using Purosol Plasma to clean is easy, I used it on my two LCD monitors, my CRTs and my TV to check it out. Basically you just spray and wipe off, of course I used the included Microfiber cloth, but other soft cloths can be used as recommended. This was over a week ago that it was first applied and I have noticed that almost no dust has accumulated on the screens. My LCDs have a very light layer of dust on them, but that can be attributed to my smoking, but the TV and my other CRTs have virtually no dust at all.
I noticed that when cleaning with the Purosol Plasma that there was no residue left behind like some other cleaners will leave. There were no streaks either, just a nice clean screen that seemed to stay clean longer than ‘normal’ cleaning would.
As I mentioned there is no odor to the Purosol Plasma and this is a great thing, no chemical smell to deal with. Its also hypo-allergenic so everyone can use it without worries. I have children so I don’t have to worry, and lock it away like I would glass cleaner or other chemical cleaners, if they accidentally get a hold of the Purosol Plasma I know that they are safe.

The only thing I can see negative with this product is the price for the amount you get and the cost of the Microfiber cloth. I cleaned two LCD monitors, two CRT monitors and my TV and used about of the bottle. Of course depending on the size of your monitors and TVs you will use less or more of the product.
I also did not notice any directions for cleaning the Microfiber cloth in the documentation or on the Purosol website, basically you pay $6.50 plus shipping for a cloth that you use a few times and throw away. I would assume that it is machine washable but don’t know for sure, as there is nothing to tell me that.
