A Better Look at Things

The iPod Nano 2 Massage Silicone Case arrives in a clear plastic clamshell with the case sandwiched between a rainbow textured cardboard.

The case comes in a variety of colors ranging from Aqua Blue, Red, Black, Pink, Smoky Black and Lime Green. The review sample was the Smoky Black.

 

 

The case itself is covered with multiple one millimeter finger like projections around most of the surface area of the iPod Nano 2 Massage Silicone Case. It is composed of a soft rubbery silicone which feels secure in ones hands.

The base is wide open for access to both the headphone jack and the dock connector. The top features an opening for the hold switch. A translucent area is found over the scroll wheel. The Nano’s display is an viewed through an open square.

 

On both of the sides, there are two rectangular strips for additional grip.

Installation, Testing and Comparison

Like most silicone cases, the iPod Nano slides into the case for installation. Sometimes sliding metal against a silicone surface causes some resistance and this happens when slipping the Nano into the case.

The case is light and adds no additional heft to the iPod Nano. The surface of the Nano is protected from bumps and scratches except for the screen area. The headphone jack and connector dock are easily accessible.

The iPod Nano 2 Massage Silicone Case feels comfortable and secure in ones hands.

One thing I did notice is that the case is not as form fitting as it should be. There is a little laxity in the case along the sides of the display screen.

Now I don’t know where the massage portion of the name applies to this case. It certainly did not provide a good massage when rubbed against my back. It may have even pulled off some skin. Hehehe.
