So I’m back with another camera case for review from our friends at Love Cases. This time they’ve sent me the Colt Syscase from Hama that can be used for a small DSLR or SLR style camera or it can be used for a compact camera and have some room left over for other stuff. It’s a camera case so it’s padded and it comes with a nice little pocket so you can take extra memory cards or batteries with you.

The Review

No special packaging, just a plastic bag. Not much is needed as it’s a bag.

The case is black in color and has red accents. It has an angular shape that tapers to fit your camera.

The Syscase has a nice long adjustable shoulder strap so you can carry it over your shoulder or slung across your chest.

The front of the case has a padded quilted look to it and it’s actually a zippered pocket so you can carry a spare memory card or even batteries.

 

On the top of the case you’ll find a small handle to carry the case. There you’ll also find a double zipper and a double velcro closure for security. The velcro is on both the top and the bottom of the flap. This zipper and velcro system should keep your camera very secure while inside..

 

 

When you open the case up you’ll find a very soft felt-like lining and padding of course to protect you camera and any lens you might want to carry with you.

The divider inside is attached with velcro and can be removed so you can even have more room.

 

The case is made for SLR style cameras or you can use it for compact cameras or even a video camera. You’re only limited to size really as to what you can put in it. I’m using it with my Fuji FinePix which is an SLR style camera.

I found I could put my camera in the case either way, it fit both ways just fine.

 

The bag is padded nicely and I like the fact that the lining is soft to help protect your camera. Many times with camera cases you’ll find the pockets to be a little small and actually in side with the camera, this bag though has nice large pockets that are on the outside giving your plenty of room for extra things to take along with you.


Summary and Comments

I really can’t find anything wrong with this case honestly, it works fine for what it needs to do and that’s protect your camera. The case offers a couple ways to transport it, either a shoulder strap, or a convenient handle. The Colt Syscase does include a small pocket so you can carry extra memory cards or batteries, overall it’s not a bad little case and should offer very good protection for the camera inside.
