A&K S-System Spec Ops M4 Full Metal Airsoft Rifle Review

Testing and Movies:

The first thing you really need to do is charge the battery, well the instructions don’t tell you anything about charge time, only not to charge it over night. So after a bit of research I learned that it needs to be charged for about 2-2 ½ hours.

The battery gets installed in the fore grip of the M4, there are two spring actuated screws on either side that act as locks. I ended up getting 10 full clips, or about 500 rounds at full auto and full power, with about another clip shot at low battery… So if you want to use this gun for competition you’ll need to get a couple more batteries…

Of course once you load the clip with your bb’s you need to put it in your gun.

Here’s the gun all ready to go with a sling that I added:

I forgot to mention, HobbyTron was nice enough to send me some extra stuff, including a pack of 5000 bb’s and a set of safety shooting glasses. The shooting glasses are actually very nicely made and even feature UV protection, rubber nose piece and rubber padded side pieces.

The gun is very easy to use, and tons of fun… although I wouldn’t want to be carrying it around on the streets for fear of legal concerns. My buddy was over who has a few real assault style rifles and he was truly impressed by this gun, he thought it was real until he got a closer look at it.

I was very impressed with the accuracy of this gun in semi mode, even at full auto it was accurate with a bit of control of course! And as with any gun, depending on distance, wind etc, aiming and sighting does need to be adjusted…

Well I’ve got eight movies for you to check out of the M4 in action, I had tons of fun doing this review and I’m still loving it. I can’t wait till the next airsoft tourney to get out there in the field and really have some fun!

The first video is something I tried but it didn’t quite work out the way I wanted it to… I stuck a 500 watt work light in a cardboard box and filmed in the dark to try and get an interesting effect.. but you get the idea…

The second video is that same cardboard box but in the light showing full auto mode…
