We all need to keep our computers cool, and sometimes those stock fans just don’t cut it, or there aren’t enough of them to do an adequate job. Many companies make replacement fans for you computer, but not many are like the one I have for review today, they are from a company called Bluegears, and they are called the b-flexi, for review I received one each of their 80mm fans and 120mm fans. The b-flexi fans are color changing fans, the LEDs can be changed to red, blue or green or you can just turn them off. So let’s jump right on into this review and check these fans out…

A Better Look at Things
:
Since I am reviewing two fans that are basically the same but different sizes, I’m not going to show you double pictures of the parts etc, they come with the same accessories. The packaging for the b-flexi fans is very attractive, and you can see the fans through it.
While the back of the packages have all the specs and features listed.
The b-flexi fans are actually a gray or smoke color, with a chromed, glossy finish.
Lots of wiring is included with the b-flexi fans, a pci slot bracket and mounting screws.
There are two screws included for mounting the switch to the pci slot bracket as well. There are actually two power connectors for the b-flexi fans, one is two power the inverter for the LEDs.
The other molex power connector is to power the actual fan, or you can use the 3-pin connection to power the fan.

Installation, Testing and Comparison
With all the wires involved installation can be a bit of a pain, especially if you like to have a neat and tidy case as I do. The wires are very long, so the b-flexi fans should fit in and case with no problem, but the wires being long also tends to make it harder to hide them if need be. The installation process is very easy, but I would have liked to have seen a pass-through molex connection for the inverter power connector, as basically you’ll use two molex connections if you separate the power connectors to other parts of your case in an effort to hide them.
When powered on the b-flexi fans are not overly loud, but loud enough to be heard, for my personal preference they are a bit too loud, but I like silence and I know that others don’t care if their system is silent as I do. The b-flexi fans do push quite a bit of air around, and will help to keep you case cool.
There are four modes for the b-flexi fans, LED off, red, blue and green.
The idea of color changing fans is nothing really new, but it is nice to see quality ones. The others I have seen are not that great, the b-flexi fans from Bluegears are of a higher quality. I’ve known Bluegears for quite some time now and all of their products are outstanding quality, the b-flexi fans are no exception.

Summary:
The Bluegears b-flexi fan are excellent for what they do, they keep you system cool and look good doing it. The b-flexi fans do move quite a bit of air around and are relatively quiet while doing it as well. If you are in the market for some new fans then I think the b-flexi might be for you, the fact that they can change colors is an added bonus to how well they cool a system.
DragonSteelMods gives the Bluegears b-flexi 80/b-flexi 120 case fans a 4.5 out of 5 score.
Pros:
-Multiple colors for any setup
-Move a lot of air
-Relatively quiet
-Bluegears quality
Cons:
-Wiring could be better
-Loose PCI Slot
I would like to thank Bluegears for the chance to review the b-flexi80/b-flexi120 case fans and for their continued support of DSM.
