DLO Jam Jacket for iPhone Review

Installation, Testing and Comparison

The iPhone slips right into the Jam Jacket. Pretty simple.

The headphone plug needs to be threaded through a hole at the top end of the Headphone Management System. This hole is much smaller than the headphone plug and is pretty close to the end of the silicon, my concern with this is that it may break if you frequently remove your headphones from the Jam Jacket.

Once you thread the headphone plug, place it in the top notch, so that it recesses against the silicon. Wrap the headphone cable around until the headphones are left and then press them into the opening on the back of the Headphone Management System. Voila! You now can carry both your phone and headphones in one small neat package.

The major drawback to the Jam Jacket is the lack of a belt clip. This would be the perfect solution for working out, however, there is no way to store the Jam Jacket, unless you wear workout clothes with pockets. The other issue I had was the power/wake button was a little too deeply recessed into the silicon, making it a little difficult to turn on the iPhone.

Some people may feel that the Headphone Management System gets in the way and makes the iPhone too bulky.

Summary and Comments

The Jam Jacket is another winner from DLO. With their long history of making cases and peripherals for the iPod, DLO has proven they know how to make accessories for the brand new iPhone.

The Jam Jacket is not perfect, but does it’s job and does it well.

DragonSteelMods gives the DLO Jam Jacket a 4 out of 5 score.
