A Better Look at Things pg1
Ok, know that you read all that, how about some nice pictures? I know that’s all anybody really looks at… First up of course we need to check out the box, the packaging can sometimes make or break a product, we are visually oriented creatures, us humans… The box for the KN1 SLI Lite is a striking green color, there are a few specs on the front but flipping the box over you can learn a bit more.
Upon opening the box we are greeted with a motherboard… imagine that, but not just any motherboard, a purple motherboard wrapped in an anti-static bag. Some might think: Purple!?! I like it, it’s different, it’s a nice change of pace, the color scheme used actually goes very well together.
Under the motherboard we find all the cool accessories, all nicely packaged up in bags for us. There is also of course the user manual, driver/software bundle disc and I/O backplate.
A couple things to notice in particular are, the special bay adapter for the PCI USB connector, so instead of having the USB ports in the back of your PC you have a choice of putting them in the front.
The next thing of interest is the SLI lock, sort of, this is a special PCI slot bracket that is padded on the tip to make sure your SLI bridge stays in place at all times. It has three holes in it so you can adjust it specifically for your video cards.
And last, but certainly not least, the SLI bridge, it looks like the standard SLI bridge but is purple to match the motherboard.
