There are countless accessories out there for your computer, ranging from extremely useful to just downright goofy and pointless and the mouse bungee is one of those product that is rather pointless, or at least so I thought…
Today for review I’ve got the Evo-G MB1 Mouse Bungee, and it’s one of those products that at one point I thought was rather useless, that is until I actually got it and tried it out. I’ve got a SteelSeries Ikari Optical Gaming Mouse that I use as my main mouse, it’s a great mouse but the cord is rather stiff, at times it gets caught on my mouse pad, and sometimes, due to its’ stiffness it lifts up and catches on my speaker, it gets annoying but I’ve lived with it for a while now just dealing with it. So Evo-G sent me their Mouse Bungee for review, and I never really thought much of this type of product, but now I can’t live without it, it keep my cord up and out of the way, it never gets caught on anything now and I no longer have the annoyance of my mouse cord getting stuck somewhere…
So continue on to check out a great little product…

Unboxing
The Evo-G MB1 Mouse Bungee comes in a ‘gamer themed’ box where there’s a big explosion on the front and a picture of the bungee itself, on the back shows the specs, features and instructions along with more pictures.
Opening the box we find another plastic box that holds the Mouse Bungee, there’s nothing else included in the box as the instruction are on the box itself.
The Bungee I got for review is black and orange colored but also available blue and black and something they call ‘steel-grid’ and black. The bottom weighted and rubberized to make sure it stay put.
The Bungee itself is essentially three parts, the base, a middle section and an extension. The middle section can be moved to four different angles or heights including flat.
The third section of the Evo-G Mouse Bungee is the bungee part itself which consists of a movable anchor piece attached to a flexible metal bar, this whole thing slides in and out.
The Evo-G Mouse Bungee can be adjusted in several ways to fit the needs or preferences of the user.
Installation, Testing and Comparison
There’s not much to the installation process and I’ve got nothing to compare it to either, the only comparison I have right now is not using anything.
The Evo-G Mouse Bungee has two slots on it to secure your mouse cord, the cord just pushes into the slots and stays secure, I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and have had no problems at all.
In a storm a few weeks ago I lost my Altec Lansing speakers so I’ve been using my secondary set of Boston Acoustics and they’ve got very small satellite speakers, and the right one is near my mouse and pad. The cord of my SteelSeries Ikari mouse is thick and stiff, sometimes it would actually roll and loop over my speaker, really annoying when it happens, other times the cord would get caught on the corner of my mouse pad, annoying but not as bad as catching the speaker.
Sure I dealt with it, I tried re-routing my wire to stop this from happening but the way my desk is setup, the best way to run it is that way where it catches on things. Since I’ve installed the Evo-G MB1 Mouse Bungee I’ve never had any problems with the cord catching on anything, it works very well, and the base is weighted so it doesn’t move either.
The Evo-G does its job well and works great.
