Unboxing
The packaging of the HandMusic is similar to the Ewoo eFizz Travel, coming in a black and white cardboard box with the device prominently placed in the center of the package. The lower right hand corner of the box has logos displaying iPod dock, Remote Included, 2 Way 2.4 GHz, 500 feet and High Fidelity Sound.
On the side panels we see the dock holding the remote and an iPod Classic along with a listing of the box’s contents and on the other side panel, we see the dock with a iPod Nano 3G and the remote laying next to it.
The back of the package has a list of General Features in six different languages and the types of iPods supported.
Upon opening the packaging, we find the HandMusic remote and docking station; in addition Ewoo includes six different size iPod universal dock adapters a mini-USB cable, an analog audio cable and a CD containing the user guide.
The HandMusic dock and remote is composed of a piano black plastic.
On the dock there is a silver border at the base with the Ewoo logo embossed on the front. The top of the dock has two connector slots, the front one for the iPod/iPhone and the rear one for charging the remote.
On the back of the dock is the AC connector, the mini-USB connector, an analog audio out and S-Video out connector. The bottom surface is a rubbery material with four standoff feet. In the corner is the pairing button.
The HandMusic remote is rectangular with a circular ring near the touch zone and tapers to a half circle at the base. The Ewoo logo is embossed at the bottom just below the touch zone, which is the control panel and will feel familiar to all iPod owners. This circular zone features five buttons, a forward, back at the sides, play/pause on the bottom and menu at the top. In the middle of the touch zone is the select button. Finally above this zone we see the 1.8” TFT screen.
Flipping the remote over, we find two charging contacts towards the bottom and below that a miniUSB connector port. The sides of the back are silver with a black rubberized surface.
Ewoo includes six different iPod dock connectors, so that most of the newer iPods will fit in the dock.
