Installation and BIOS
This system was a major upgrade from the previous single core AMD3500+ CCTV security system. When installed and running the system consists of:
Foxconn Mobo
Intel C2D E4500 w/GlacialTech 5750 Silent Cooler
4xHDD (3x400GB – 1x500GB)
DVD/RW
MSI Nvidia 6200 Vid Card with Zalman VGA Cooler
GeoVision 16 channel 480FPS CCTV Capture card
3×120 mm fans
Vizo Propeller 2 System Cooler
OCZ 600Watt StealthXStream Power Supply
For review purposes of course I used my CPU and Ram to make it comparable to the others I’ve reviewed, which is an Intel C2D 6420 and 2gigs of Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 Ram .
The BIOS is a Phoenix Award BIOS, and it’s called the Foxconn Smart BIOS, what’s so smart about it though I’m not quite sure… All the basic stuff is in there with the addition of the ‘FOX Central Control Unit’ option.
The FOX Central Control Unit is where you’ll find the options to overclock your CPU and ram if oyu wish. Basic stuff, nothing to technical or detailed.
The rest of the BIOS is your plain garden variety, nothing special to see here, if you’ve seen one you’ve seen this one..
