Our phones have become a big part of our lives, the majority of us can’t leave home without them, there have been many times I’ve forgotten my phone only to turn around just to go back and get it. Many of the phones out there though have only one USB adapter port meaning you can only do one thing at a time, like just charging or just listening to music, for most people that’s fine though. Up on the review block today I’ve got a brief review of a little gadget that turns the USB port on your HTC cellphone into two ports allowing you to use headphones and charge or sync your phone at the same time. It’s a useful little product if you need something like this, and it’s inexpensive as well, coming in at around $10 shipped.

A Better Look at Things:

There’s no special packaging for this product, just a plastic bag with a label on it, sometimes minimal is better.

 

The HTC 2-in-1 USB Audio & Charger Adapter for HTC ExtUSB Smartphone features a short USB cable that ends with a small box like part that has two ports on the end, one for charging and one for a set of USB headphones. There’s also an LED indicator on the top as well.

 

 

Installation, Testing and Comparison:

There’s nothing to installation, just plug it into your phone, then plug your charger and/or headphones into it, the LED lights up to indicate a connection. I used my HTC TyTn II or AT&T Tilt of course for testing.

 

Well that’s it, it works as advertised, there’s not much to this product really, it’s simple and basic and yet gets the job done.

The HTC 2-in-1 USB Audio & Charger Adapter for HTC ExtUSB Smartphone seems well made, and the cable is a good length so you can still access the stylus, at least on my phone I can.

 

 

Summary and Comments:

The HTC 2-in-1 USB Audio & Charger Adapter for HTC ExtUSB Smartphone is a product that works exactly as it should, it creates two USB connections from the one on your phone.

This product works fine as is, but to make it even better I’d exchange the USB headphone adapter for a 3.5mm one though, but that’s just how it is since HTC uses mini-USB for headphones.
