Considering the Apple branded video cable is half the cost of the iDock and a universal dock is the same price of the iDock, you get a heck of a deal with this product. The packaging is not as slick as other iPod accessories, but the hardware works as advertised.

Although the picture quality is not HDTV quality, it is still near DVD quality. Obviously the setting of the encoded video will play a big part in this process. Getting 640×480 is pretty much mandated if you are going to hook up to a high definition television.
