The release of the video enabled iPod has been wonderful for travelers. However, sometimes one may want to watch the video on their iPod on a full screen. Luckily, the USBFever people have the solution for this situation. The iPod AV Cable allows one to use the iPod Video to play videos on any RCA composite enable monitor. With this cable, you can hold a video stores worth of movies in your palm and enjoy them on a TV or monitor. Unboxing

The package is white and has a picture of the composite inputs and the words: For iPod and AV Cable. The rear of the box shows the 3.5 connector and pictures of the RCA and AV connectors that the cable will fit into.

Opening the box reveals the cable and no instructions. Seriously, does anyone need instructions for this set up?

The cable is white with a 3.5 jack at one end and the RCA composite connectors at the other. From end to end, the cable measures sixty inches.

The iPod AV Cable does not seem flimsy and seems to be similar in thickness to most standard AV cables.

Installation, Testing and Comparison

For testing, I hooked the cable up to my 60 GB iPod Video to a standard definition television and played the classic film 300. Set up involved plugging the cables into the appropriate sockets and then playing the iPod.

The picture was slightly streaky and garbled on first play, but once the cable was fully extended, the picture cleared up. I would assume there was some interference from the cable when it crosses over upon itself.

The picture looked comparable to standard television broadcast.
