iPod / iPhone Stereo Earphone Adapter Review

One of my biggest gripes with the iPhone is the recessed headphone jack. This jack configuration eliminates the majority of consumer headphones because they use a standard 3.5mm headphone plug.

Until recently, the only options for getting an iPhone headphone adapter was to buy one of the bulky models from Belkin or buying an iPod Shuffle headphone extension cable on ebay.

Unboxing

The iPod / iPhone Stereo Earphone Adapter comes in a clear plastic bag.


It is a black (also available in white) cable that measures 4.75 inches. The adapter has a gold plated 3.5mm connector at one end and a 3.5mm headphone connector at the other.

 

 


The cable is flexible like a standard headphone cable.


Installation, Testing and Comparison

Plug the 3.5mm connector into the iPhone and your headphone speaker cable into the opposite end of the iPod / iPhone Stereo Earphone Adapter.

 

 


Then put on your headphones and rock out.
