Kingwin Revolution RVT-12025 CPU Cooler Review

Summary and Comments:

The Kingwin Revolution RVT-12025 CPU Cooler does its job and does it well, you can see by my testing it easily bests some of the top CPU coolers out there today on both quad core and dual core platforms.

The fan that’s included is meant to be silent and running at 1500RPMs, and it does it’s job well, but I can predict if you throw a higher RPM fan, or one with higher rated airflow, on the RVT-12025 you’ll really increase the performance of this cooler and drastically drop the temperatures making this possibly one of the best coolers on the market today.

The price of this cooler is another great selling point, it’s low, especially compared to the ‘high-end’ coolers in my testing, you can get the same, if not better performance for almost half the price.

It’s not all perfect though, the RVT-12025 CPU Cooler is a bit hard to install and un-install, you’ll need to have a lot of room in your case to get it installed or you’ll need to remove the fan to complete the installation. Also, since it’s so large it might not fit in some cases, and there could be problems with motherboards that have large northbridge coolers on them. So, it’s not perfect, but I guess some sacrifices, or compromises have to be made for the sake of great performance.

The RVT-12025 has the same ‘wing’ on it that the RVT-9225 has, and here again I really see no need for it, I’m thinking it’s more of a gimmicky add-on than anything that adds value to the cooler, I’d advise not even using the wing attachment.

DragonSteelMods gives the Kingwin Revolution RVT-12025 CPU Cooler a 4.5 out of 5 score and our Recommended Award as well.
