Unboxing
There are three fans in the NF-S12A series, and of course Noctua has many other fans as well and the packaging all looks pretty much the same. The box for the ULN fan opens up to show the fan on the right side and then some nice diagrams on the left side telling you more about the fan.
The back of the box has a brief description and then it opens up to go more in-depth about the fan.
Inside you’ll find a plastic box that holds everything and a user guide.
Here’s everything included:
Noctua included regular metal screws and silicone vibration dampening bolts. There is on low noise adapter included the NA-RC12 which slows the fan down to 600rpm from the stock 800rpm. Also included is an extension cable and a molex to 3pin adapter.
Here’s the fan, it’s beige and brown, pretty much the same as any other Noctua fan. The fan has seven blades and the blades have little bumps on them.
The back of the fan has the ID label and that’s about it really.
The ULN fan is very similar to the FLX I just reviewed, it has the same features like silicone dampeners on all the corners, anti-stall knobs on the blades and microstructures on the inner frame of the fan.
