Review: Cable Wrap Cableman from USBFever

Wires are everywhere and taming their tangled messes can be a daunting task, I know I hate it when I have to untangle my headphones every time I use them. Sure we can just get a plain old twist tie or even some sort of velcro type wire management to help keep things tidy, but even the wires still manage to get tangled a bit.

USBFever has sent me over an interesting little gadget for review called the Cableman, and it’s a rubber man that’s used for taming wires and keeping things nice and tidy. It also has other uses as well, pretty much anything you can think of to wrap around this little guy can be held tight by him. He’s also available in multiple colors and can be purchased in bulk quantities at a discount to help manage lots of wires or even be given as a gift to let the little guy help someone else with their wire mess…

A Better Look at Things

:

This is a nice short review as there really isn’t much to the Cableman from USBFever. He comes shipped in a bulk type package, just a plastic zip lock style baggie.

I received the black color for review, he’s made of rubber which makes him a bit flexible. The Cableman has a space in his mouth and between his legs to ‘lock’ the ends of your wires in place.

Installation, Testing and Comparison

There’s really no comparison to make for this product, except it’s better than using a twist tie and more fun as well.

Installation is easy, you can start in his mouth or between his legs… (that doesn’t quite sound right but I’ll go with it…) I started between his legs with my SteelSeries Siberia headphones, you lock one end of the wire in place and wrap the bulk of the wire around the Cableman, essentially tying him up and then shove the other end in his mouth. Easy and quick to do, not much involved here at all…

Here’s a few shots of my Siberia headset wrapped up by the Cableman:

Of course there are many other uses for the Cableman like using it with your mouse to shorten the cable and help to weigh it down and pretty much anything else you can think of to do with it…

With the holidays around the corner the Cableman would make a great stocking stuffer or add-on gift for that new audio player you’re getting for that special someone. Considering they are cheaper when you by bulk you can pick up a few for yourself and to give away!

Summary:

The Cableman from USBFever is one of those products that is just easy to use, well made and has got lots of possible uses. There really are no faults I can find with this product, it just is what it is…

DragonSteelMods gives the Cable Wrap Cableman from USBFever a 5 out of 5 score.
