TV iPhone App Preview

A Better Look at Things

The i.TV app has a red logo with the letter i.TV. Nothing exciting here, but easy enough to identify. Upon launch, the app will ask to either identify your current location via the built in GPS or the iPhone or to manually put in your zip code. Once this is done, a listing of available TV providers is brought up on the screen and you must select which service you currently use to watch television.

On the bottom of the app are five docked icons: TV, Theaters, My Media, Search ad More.

The TV button will take you to a Television listing guide starting from the current time and the lowest channel.

On the top of the Theater screen there are two buttons, one for Movies, which take ones to an alphabetical listing of all the currently released films and the second button is Theaters, which starts with an alphabetical listing of theaters.

My Media allows one to select Favorites via Shows, Actors, Movies and Theaters or Browse by Genre or Channels.

Search is pretty self explanatory

More takes you to the Settings and Help and Hints sub menu. From the Setting menu, one can adjust i.TV Account, TV Service, Preferences and Settings Lock. The Preferences submenu provides: Ratings Filter, Hidden Items, and the ability to toggle Pay Per View, Music, Infomercial, Non-English and Off Air items from being filter by the i.TV app.
