USB Mini Multimedia Keyboard Review

A Better Look at Things

The USB Mini Multimedia keyboard comes in an interesting box, the box is very sturdy, made out of thick cardboard. What makes it interesting is that fact that it is held close with tiny magnets, at least I thought it was interesting…. The box is a standard box for all of these types of keyboard from this company, the only real identifying mark is a red dot in the top right corner to let you know which keyboard is in the box. Saves money on packaging that way, and it still looks very attractive.

The back of the box has pictures of the various types of keyboards, and a list of specs about them.

Opening the box we find the keyboard itself is wrapped up in plastic for its protection during transportation.

Unpacking everything we find that the contents include not only the keyboard, but a USB/PS2 adapter and a driver/software disc as well for the keyboard. The keyboard is your standard qwerty layout, with pretty much all the same keys you would find on a normal sized keyboard. I do like the nameplate at the top left corner; Keyboard, as if we wouldn’t know what it was?!?

the Mini Multimedia keyboard does has legs on the back edge that fold up and down to make the keyboard come up at an angle for more comfortable typing.

The best part of this keyboard is all the buttons across the top of it, there aren’t many tiny keyboard sthat are this multi-functional. On the top row, we have all the standard internet keys including one to Bookmark sites, open email, open the calculator and even a power button. The bottom row features all the multimedia keys like play, stop, pause, and at the end of the row there are ‘sleep’ and ‘wake’ keys as well.

The USB Mini Multimedia Keyboard from Brando WorkShop seems well made, yet very lightweight making it very portable. The additional buttons are an excellent feature, that make this keyboard really stand out from the others of this type. The USB cable is nice and long, and the included PS2 adapter can be used so you don’t loose a USB port.
